Constitutional and Statutory Changes as the result of the 2012 Election

Amendment 2 eliminated from Florida Statute 196.082 the requirement that a veteran who is disabled as the result of a combat-related injury must have been a Floridian at the time of original induction into the service in order to be eligible for exemption.   If you meet the requirements stated here link , please come into one of our offices to apply.  The change is effective for the 2013 assessment roll.

Amendment 9 added surviving spouses of first-responders who lost their lives in the line of duty to the exemption classification granted under Florida Statute 196.081.  If you meet the requirements stated here link, please come into one of our offices to apply.  The change is effective for the 2013 assessment roll.
